A Subject You Enjoy Studying This Semester

 I’m in fourth year of social work in Universidad de Chile, and today I will talk you about the subject I enjoy the most this semester. This subject is Social Analysis of the Territory here we study the complexity of the territory, this is related to the context, the relationships between people and everything that involves living in some space. In this subject, we learned about two principal approach. First the systemic approach related to understand the territory like a system that has communities, neighbors, and family and to enter in the study of complex territory is important to have the information of these three subjects. Second the Marxist approach, is based in studying the territory by a comprehension of the working market and the importance of the capital and how the capitalism logics configure every space.

In relation to the previous review, I could say that I definitely recommend this subject to other, besides if is a person that study social work. Is important to have this knowledge because is very superficial to comprehend the territory like a piece of land that lives people, it is a lot more complicated than that. In a territory there are ways that people interact in it, also that this vary between spaces. In fact, this is important to understand and I recommended to people that is interested in study some topic in particularly has no involve the practices and relationships that characterize each territory not only like a space where people live.

BLOG 6: Career- related expert on your field.

One of my favorite authors is Karl Marx he was a German philosopher, revolutionist, sociologist, historian, and economist who has made great changes in the world with the books he has written. One of my favorite is “The Communist Manifesto” which was written at a time of industrial and social change, where the economic growth was dependent on its workforce yet majority of the workers lived in poverty while their employers lived in wealth.  In his book he describes the class struggles and how the exploitation of one class to another would lead unavoidably to the overthrow of the ruling class by the working classes.

There is a very good quote that was in the book "In proportion therefore, as the repulsiveness of the work increases, the wage decreases." My interpretation of this is, as labor conditions become less favorable in relation to wage, the Proletariat "workers" will find their work unacceptable and incite a revolution. 

I believe Karl Marx made a difference in the world because his books help understand more about the injustice and inequality of the systems. He understood industrial capitalism was good but the cost of it was much bigger. I feel like people around the world are more aware of these injustices and are taking action just like he said.

Exist many things that I do not liked for example the summer, I hate the summer for its heat but the topic that most outagre me is the climate changue because is a real problem today.

In the first place is the topic that affect everyone since a lot time but in the present appear a problem. All started the first industrial revolution and it has evolved so far because the insdustry persistent expand without considering the big damage in the enviroment.

In the second place the government does a blind eye becauste since the militare dictadure all it is privatized, the companies have the power and to the companies do not care the enviroment, they only care to produce and more produce, it is your business. The government only care for that companies are well and can continued produce all they want and can.

Whit this blog I state my indignation for the climate changue, for the government that does nothing in frot of it and the companies that keep producing indiscriminately.

This is my favorite pothograph, they are my friend (and my cousin), we met at university. 

The photo was tarjen by the atomatic cell phone camera when we were in the valle del elqui in the summer. It was the laist day the of our vacation (14/03/2020), a wanderful vacation. This is the last day that is see my friends before the pandemic.

I love this photo because I love my friend, they are amazing and the landscape is beatufil, the valle is a magical place. This photo brigns me many emotions and  memories.

Last years with my friend we traveled to Chiloe, this is an amazing island, full of legends an mysteries but the weather is very very could and we don´t prefer it. This year we prefer a warner climate, we travel to Coquimbo and the Valle del Elqui. This was so funny. I miss muy friends a lot:(

My favorite piece of tecnology

I think the technology is very useful because it gives us many facilities and allows us to connect from anywhere. However, I think in the last time technology has made us dependent on it, this produces that each day we are more comfortable and we don't know how to communicate directly with the people around us.

My favourite piece of technology is my Iphone, that I bought in January of this year. I use it every day, to listen to music, watch videos, read, take photos, talk, be connected in my social networks and much more!

I really like my Iphone because it is the perfect size and I can customize it every day according to my mood 💛.

Although this in love with my cell phone, I might be without it because sometimes it is necessary to disconnect and start talking face to face.

Why did you choose the career

I am student of social work, currently in the third year. When I was a child, I had a lot a dream, I wanted to be a doctor, veterinarian, a lawyer and much more.
When I starter the univerity I was very confused because I liked the career social work and agronomic engineering but my score psu it was not enough to enter social work, howerver I obtain the grant to enter, I belive a life reacher the decisión for me.
I love the university, I think it is one of the  few spaces in where you can be free and full the wonderful people.
Respect the work, I have no idea what I want to do, I only know that I want to travel a lot at the end of the career.

Hello, my name is Valentina Constanza, I was born in Santiago. At elementary school, I studied at Cardenal Antonio Samore in San Bernardo and completed high school in Liceo 1, located in Santiago.

I study social work in Universidad de Chile, I started it in 2017, at present I am in the four year of the career.

My family is composed of my parents Monica and Jorge, my sister named Caroline, her son Martin and my girlfriend named Paloma, she has beautiful green and blue eyes. My nephew is five years old, is very very cute and I love him with all my heart. A curious data is that sister and me were born the same day twelve years apart.

My hobbies are swimming and cycling. I am also very interested in the environment, so I travel by bicycle.

Another fact about me is that live with two cats, their names are Antu and Memo, they are beautiful and I love them.
